Seek, and you will find...so choose wisely!

Updated: Oct 17, 2020

Émile Coué de la Châtaigneraie (1857 - 1926) was a French psychologist and pharmacist who introduced a popular method of psychotherapy and self-improvement based on optimistic self-suggestion. One of the most potent self-suggestions Coué postulated is referred to as The Law Of Concentrated Attention, or "What you focus upon, increases".

Humans are goal seeking, so it's part of our ancient hunter-gatherer make-up that we look for things. By opening our minds to possibilities, we recognise them more easily.

In relation to 21st century issues: If we focus upon the chaos caused by current events, then because we choose to focus upon the chaos, then that is what we will find - We find chaos because we are looking for it. However, if we choose to look for calm, then will find that too. Essentially, in order to be able to find something, you must first focus upon seeking it.

There is always calm within chaos, just as surely as there is always chaos within calm. That's the Yin-Yang which provides balance.

Which one will you notice?

That's a choice

Choose wisely!
